💙 Eagles Competition Cheer

Competition Cheer is where hard work meets high energy and big goals! Athletes take their skills to the next level

by learning stunts, tumbling, and dynamic routines, all while building strength, confidence, and teamwork.

Our squads compete at ICA events throughout the season, performing high-energy routines and chasing that

unforgettable moment on the mat. It’s challenging, exciting, and full of team spirit—plus memories that last a lifetime! 💙📣

💙 PRACTICES AND COMPETITIONS

Attendance Policy

Cheerleading is a true team sport where every athlete plays a vital role in the success of the squad. From stunts to routines, each position matters, and when one athlete is absent, it impacts timing, safety, and the performance of the entire team.

For this reason, attendance is essential. Consistent participation in practices, games, and competitions allows the team to build skills, trust, and confidence together. We ask all cheerleaders to make their team a priority and fully commit throughout the season. Please review our full attendance policy here (link policy).

AS YOU PLAN YOUR SEASON, CAREFULLY REVIEW ALL PRACTICE AND COMPETITION DATES. Attendance at all competitions is mandatory, as each event is critical to the team’s success. Eagles Cheer is proud to participate in the Illinois Cheer Association (ICA), with four competitions scheduled for the 2026 season. Exact dates will be confirmed after ICA registration in June, but please plan ahead and reserve these dates now.

If you have any questions or potential conflicts, please contact Kelly at cheerdirector@egvcheer.com as soon as possible.

🏈 Football Season & All the Fun Extras!

Game Days
Get ready to bring the spirit! All squads will cheer at home and nearby away football games, typically held on Saturdays or Sundays at the Community Athletic Fields. Our league uses a flex schedule, so game times are released about 1–2 weeks in advance—keeping things exciting all season long!

Playoffs & Championships
When our teams advance, so do we! Cheerleaders will continue supporting their football teams all the way through playoffs and championship games.

Signing Day
Kick off the season in style! Our athletes get their very own “Signing Day” experience with photos, a special gift, and the chance for families to meet board members and ask questions about the season ahead.

Homecoming Weekend
One of the highlights of the season! Homecoming is packed with fun, spirit, and special moments during a featured home game weekend.

Hometown Parade
Show your Eagle pride! Cheerleaders and football players come together to represent our program in the Elk Grove Village Hometown Parade—always a fan favorite!

Cheer Showcase
Time to shine! This special event gives all Eagles squads—Rookie and Competition—the chance to perform and show off everything they’ve worked so hard on. Invite family and friends to cheer them on!

End of Season Party
Celebrate an incredible season with your teammates! This event is all about fun, memories, and recognizing the hard work and spirit shown throughout the year.

Community Projects
While optional, we encourage our athletes to participate in community service opportunities. It’s a great way to build friendships, give back, and show pride in our Eagles family.
